Tina Sani

The video and lesson plan takes students through the life, challenges, struggles and accomplishments of Tina Sani. Tina Sani is one of Pakistan’s famous female singers. She is famous for her classical and semi-classical Urdu Ghazals. She was influenced by renowned South Asian Ghazal singers, including Mehdi Hassan, Malika Pukhraj and Farida Khanum and evolved her own style. She began singing professionally in 1980 after her introduction on the TV youth program, ‘Tarang’ hosted by Alamgir. The lesson plan has grammar and comprehension activities to scaffold students’ reading, writing and listening skills.
