The video and lesson plan takes students through the life, challenges, struggles and accomplishments of the Benjamin Sisters. The Benjamin Sisters were a group of three melodious sisters who ruled the Pakistani music industry in the late 70s and early 80s. The sisters, Nerissa, Beena and Shabana Benjamin belong to a Pakistani Christian family. The Benjamin sisters joined the Sunday School choir at Christ Church in Rawalpindi. They were encouraged by their father, Victor Benjamin, who was a xylophone player. Victor encouraged his daughters to pursue a career in music. The sisters were introduced to show business by renowned sitar player, Javed Allah Ditta. The lesson plan has grammar and comprehension activities to scaffold students’ reading, writing and listening skills.
