The lesson plan takes students through the life, challenges, struggles and accomplishments of Mohammad Abdus Salam. He was a Pakistani theoretical physicist. He was the first Pakistani to receive a Nobel Prize in Science, making him only the second recipient from an Islamic country. He was the founding director of Pakistan’s space program, SUPARCO, in 1961. He established the country’s nuclear research institute and is remembered as a founder and scientific father of mathematical and theoretical physics in Pakistan. The lesson plan has grammar and comprehension activities to scaffold students’ reading, writing and listening skills.
