Considered a child prodigy, Arfa’s life ended much too soon, but her life’s work has inspired much progress for young girls and women in IT in Pakistan. Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa was a Pakistani student and computer prodigy. In 2004, she became the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional. The accomplishment put her in the Guinness Book of World Records when she was just 9 years old. Her achievement was recognized by Bill Gates who invited her to the Microsoft Headquarters for a meeting. She was born on the 2nd of February, 1995 in Faisalabad and studied at the Lahore Grammar School. The lesson plan has grammar and comprehension activities to scaffold students’ reading, writing and listening skills.
