Naseem Hameed

The lesson plan takes students through the life, challenges, struggles and accomplishments of Naseem Hameed. Naseem Hameed is a Pakistani track and field athlete who became known as the fastest woman in South Asia during the 2010 South Asian Games. She was born in Karachi on May 1st, 1988. Naseem comes from a poor, conservative family. Unable to afford a formal education, she began training how to run and has been a competitive athlete since the age of 12. The lesson plan has grammar and comprehension activities to scaffold students’ reading, writing and listening skills.
